I love a good deal. Especially a good deal that’s easy.
Glass vessels are multi-functional decor must-haves. They can be used for candles, yes, but also look great topped with seasonal do-dads – think seashells, pinecones, fall leaves, flowers, and such.
Make your own by picking up these candlesticks and glass vases at your local dollar store.
E6000 is my new bestie. Industrial strength craft adhesive that’s ideal for bonding wood, fabric, leather, ceramic, glass, metal. Non-acidic for photographs and also washer/dryer safe. Dries crystal clear, non-flammable, waterproof and paintable. Seriously, what more could you ask from a glue?!
Run a bead around the candlestick edge.
Center the candlestick on the bottom of the vase and let set overnight.
No one will believe they only cost you $2 each!
Typically you’d fill them half up with rocks, beads, sand, etc, and place votive candles inside. But this month I put a little gold duck tape around the lip and will be employing them in my St. Patty’s Day mantle decor. Stay tuned to see it all come together!
Love these! Is that a door turned into a table?
Yes! I have a swashbuckle tale to tell about how my craft table came to be. Someday I’ll get it on the blog. ;)
Very cool. Now can this go in the dishwasher or better to hand wash. Thank you.
Honestly, I haven’t tried it. Because I mostly fill them with dry do-dads that don’t require anything more than a quick rinse. But that glue is wicked strong and waterproof so I think they could handle the top rack of a dishwasher no problem.
