Today was Songbird’s preschool graduation! Dressed in white caps and gowns, her class sang songs and each had their name called to receive their certificate of accomplishment.
Everyone says it, but probably cause it’s true—time goes so fast. This daughter of mine is blooming into a marvelous, talented girl of whom I could not be more proud.
Since September she’s grown 2 inches, gained 2 pounds and she is markedly closer to achieving her goal of “Rapunzel hair that goes to the floor.”
On a year-end questionnaire, Songbird wrote that she wishes to have a pet, wonders about growing up, is afraid of bad guys, believes in Jesus and plans to be a horse doctor. She is also a compassionate friend, a lover of books, and a downright mermaid in the pool.
Now that school is out she’s already working on a list of things she wants to do before Kindergarten starts. If we accomplish them all it will be a fun, full summer for sure. And to kick things off, she wore her mortarboard to dinner. Clearly the right choice.
