Often I forget how much my kids don’t know yet; random knowledge I take for granted. The pure bliss in their faces as they experience the simplest joys for the first time is refreshing. Sometimes I forget that teaching them the small things, like how to make a flower crown, are just as important as the big things.

For all too soon she’ll be grown and gone, teaching her own kids how to make daisy chains.
