I’ve seen this idea floating around Pinterest lately and it was too easy not to try. Not sure who gets credit for the original idea, but they’re a genius! The great thing about this craft is that it only requires an empty toilet paper roll, tape, paint, paper and a kid.
Crease the tube to resemble a heart and use tape across the top to hold the shape.
Pour a little washable paint in a shallow dish and let them stamp away!
The tube is easy enough to grip that probably a child as young as 18-mo could participate.
I partly expected Bug to smear the whole thing, but he was patient and deliberate in his stamping. With his tendency towards loud and crazy I often forget that he is capable of delicacy when he focuses.
In fact, he spent the better part of an hour filling sheets of construction paper with carefully placed hearts. When one sheet was full he would immediately think of someone else who might like a Valentine from him so that he wouldn’t have to stop stamping.
Grab that empty tube outta the trash and go get crafty this weekend!
